How Does It Work?

The Memoir Ghost Writing Process

Your bespoke memoir writing project has three key sections:

1 - Interviewing

The interview process is at the heart of crafting your memoir. I'll come prepared with questions to guide our talks, but also let the dialogue flow naturally. My wish in the interviews face to face or by video call, to make you feel relaxed, listened to, and immersed in fond recollections of your life. It’s not just to get the information, but that it is a rewarding and enjoyable experience just as much.

2 - Drafting

After completing the required interviews, I will get to work drafting your memoir. I will transcribe our conversations, finding the key stories, themes, memories, and moments that will form the narrative arc. The draft will try to stay close to your voice and perspective. This is where your life truly comes to life on the page.

3 - Finalising

Once you review the draft and provide your feedback, I will work closely with you to complete your memoir in its final published form. This involves tightening the writing, adding any missing details, and ensuring your voice shines through. We will also discuss publishing formats and together we work on the cover design and style of printing.

What Do I Receive?

  • Four hardback copies of your book. (You have the option and price to purchase as many copies as you would want at cost price)

  • A PDF version for sending your book by email.

  • An electronic book version for E-readers like a Kindle.
